Taylor 910-L7

At Allen Music in Paducah, KY, Brandon Allen and I have something in common.  We both appreciate guitars that are works of art.  He can barely resist ordering (for the store) every special or limited edition Taylor that comes out.  Around here, that's our gain... or loss, depending on how you look at it.

This is a 2004 Fall Limited Taylor 910.  They brought back the now-discontinued "Cindy" fretboard inlay for this edition.  Ivoroid binding with abalone purfling and rosette.

I had been looking for something to replace the 410rce.  I loved the guitar; just hated the horrible Taylor Expression System.  Annnd, because that's all you can get on a Taylor nowadays (without a special order), it looked like pure wood was the way to go (and add something later).  Went by Allen's to look at a used 1996 810 that I noticed they had posted on eBay.  Found some problems with it so I started poking through the labels on the cases upstairs in the "special" room.  That's when I found this.  It was love at first site.  Pure guitar.  No electronics at all.

Ebony fretboard, bridge, headstock, and tuner buttons.  Creamy Englemann spruce top.

The back and sides are Brazilian Rosewood.  The Englemann/Brazilian combination makes for a beautiful sounding guitar.
