Chickens at the House in the Woods!
Part 4

May, 2008

About nine weeks old now.

This is one of three roosters we now know we have.  All of them are Ameraucanas.  This is the rooster formerly known as "Dotty"...

In the mornings, he's usually the first one out of the coop.

Lucy, the Rhode Island Red hen.

The rooster formerly known as Dotty with one of the three Silver Laced Wyandotte hens.

Cleo, the one Ameraucana hen we have.  She's a looker.

A small group.  They love hanging out in the woods behind the coop.  Two in the left background are Silver Laced Wyandottes.  Front left is one of the psychotic Brown Leghorns.  In the middle, one of the laid back Buff Orpington hens, and on the right, one of the other Ameraucana roosters.  This is the one formerly known as "Becka".  I'm wanting to keep this one but the girls are partial to (the one formerly known as) Dotty.  I see trouble ahead.

The gang trotting back off into the woods after I rousted them out for pictures.  The third rooster is in the middle background and looks a lot like (the one formerly known as) Dotty.
