Configuring the Sega DreamCast

1. Insert the Web Browser disc you received with the Dreamcast.
2. From the main menu, select enter and you will be presented with the option screen below:
   
3. From this menu, select the 'Internet Connection' option.
4. You will now see the 'Basic Info' screen:
   
5. Enter your first and last name in the box labeled 'Your Real Name'.
6. Enter your username in small letters in the box labeled 'User Login'.
7. If you don't what what your user name is, refer to the sign-up information that you received when your account was created.
8. Enter your password in the box labeled 'Password'.
9. Enter your local VCI phone number the boxes labeled 'Dial Up Number' and 'Backup Number'.
10. Click 'OK' to continue.
11. You will now be shown the 'Dial Options' settings:
    
12. Fill in this screen with the information for your particular phone line. Most customers will simply need to enter 270 for the areacode and set "Dial using area code" to No.
13. Click 'OK' when you have completed this screen.
14. The last screen that you will be presented with is the 'Proxy Setting' screen:
    
15. Make sure that the 'Use Proxy' option is set to 'No'.
16. Click 'OK' to return to the main option menu.
17. From the main option menu, now select the 'Email Account' icon which will take you to the 'Email Account' settings screen:
    
18. Enter your username as the "Email Login" and password for your email account in the appropriate fields.
19. Enter your email address in the 'Email Address' setting.
20. Enter the Incoming mail server as pop.vci.net and Outgoing mail server as mail.vci.net
21. Click 'OK' to return to the option menu.
22. Click 'Save' to save your settings for future use and return to the main menu.
23. When you click 'Enter' on the main menu now, your modem will connect to VCI using the phone number you entered and then automatically log you into the Dreamcast Network website.
