Westell Modem/Router Combo
The Westell modem/router combo is a modem and router in one. This device is preferred by many due to it's low cost and compact size. However, the setup is slightly more complicated than other routers. To setup your Westell router for DSL connectivity follow the instructions below or call VCI at (270) 442-0060 or (800) 755-1239
- In your web browser go to http://192.168.1.1 Unlike most routers there isn't a login screen.
- Click "Profile Editor"
- Click Next on the "Getting Started" screen
- Enter "VCI" as the "Connection Name".
- Enter your email address as the "Account Id"
- Enter your VCI password as the "Account Password"
- Click Next
- Ensure the VPI is set to 0 and the VCI is set to 35 and click Next
- Ensure the Protocol is set to "PPPoE" and click Next
- Click Done
- Your connection should be ready and displayed on the screen. We highly recommend you make the following change.
- Click Edit
- Select the option called "Always On" and click Save at the bottom.
- You can now click "Connect" and your router will connect to the internet. When the router has made a successful connection the "PPP Status" will say "Up"
