Customers can use FTP to upload their personal web page or business web site. This program can be downloaded from http://www.cuteftp.com

After installing CuteFTP you need only 3 items to get started. In the "FTP Site Manager" window click "Add Site". Then enter the following information.
    1. Site Label - The Site Label is www.vci.net. This applies to anyone uploading files to their personal homepage space. Any business customers with a domain address should upload their web pages to their domain name instead.
    2. Host Address - The Host Address is the same as the Site Label
    3. UserID - The UserID is your VCI username in lowercase letters. Any business customers should use the username assigned to them for use with their web site.
    4. Password - The Password is your VCI password. Any business customers should use the password they requested for use with their business page.
All other blanks should be left defaulted.

Your "Add Host" screen should look like the following.

After you have entered the above information click the Connect button.

Customer's uploading files to their personal homepage space should place their files in the public_html folder. Only files in this folder can be accessed via the internet.

Business customers will not have a public_html and should place their files in the default folder (the FTP root).

When you are connected to the web server you should have a window similar to the following. The left side of this window shows the files on your computer. The right side shows the files in your directory on our web server.

To transfer a file from your computer to the web server you simply double click the file on the left side.
To delete a file from the web server single click the file and click the delete button on the right side.
