Internet Wizard

1. Click the Start button at the bottom-left of your screen.
2. Click on Run
3. Type in "inetwiz" and click Ok.
   
   The Wizard will now ask you several questions as stated below.
   
   
4. The Wizard will ask you if you would like to connect using your phone line or thru a Local Area Network. Select "Connect using my phone line".
5. The Wizard will now ask for the phone number you will use to connect to the internet. This is NOT your phone number. Select a local VCI phone number from the list and enter it in the Telephone Number box.
6. Remove the check from "Dial using the area code and country code"
7. Enter your VCI username and password. The username is the first part of your VCI email address and is always in lowercase letters. Your password is in lowercase letters unless you specified otherwise when you setup your account.
8. Next, the Wizard will ask you for the "Connection name". Type VCI in this box and click Next.
9. Next, the Wizard will ask if you would like to setup an email account. Each VCI account comes with email. This procedure assumes you would like to setup your VCI email account. Leave Yes selected and click Next
10. Enter your first name and last name as the Display Name and click Next.
11. Enter your VCI email address as the Email Address and click Next.
12. Next, at the top the dropdown box should be set to POP3.
13. In the "Incoming mail server" box enter pop.vci.net
14. In the "Outgoing mail server" box enter mail.vci.net and click Next
15. Next, the account name should already have your VCI username in it.
16. Enter your VCI password in the Password box and click Next.
17. Click Finish to complete the Internet Wizard.

1. Go to My Computer and then Control Panel
2. In the Control Panel double click on Internet Options
3. At the top delete the homepage address and enter www.vci.net
4. Click Ok at the bottom.
