Changing The Phone Number

Windows 95 & 98

1. Double click on the My Computer icon.
2. Double click on the Dial Up Networking folder.
3. Right click File and then Properties.
4. Remove the check from "Use area code and dialing properties".
5. Ensure you have the appropriate phone number entered for your city in the "Telephone Number" section
6. If your telephone line has Call Waiting and you'd like to disable it while you are on the internet please add *70, (star seven zero comma) to the beginning of the Telephone Number.
7. After you have the proper phone number installed click OK at the bottom.
