Also, between Birmingham and Gilbertsville, meaning your family was required to leave the "river bottoms" before the impoundment of the Kentucky dam Reservoir, Never to Return.  If you have knowledge or some old photos from this one rich river bottom land, (gone for over half a century), then your story or accounts can live again in the future publishing of "Never to Return" by Paul Dotson.  Send your information to me or call me please. Seeking info on the person or persons who removed the tombstone of Mary PERLINA RAY WASHAM 1837-1908. She was wife of Isaac WASHAM. Both inhered at Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery at Harvey, Ky in Marshall Co. Monument has been photographed and was in place Oct 1994...missing June 1995. A reward will be offered and prosecution to the full extent of the law will be sought. This is a felony and anyone who would do such should be considered a very lowly & inconsiderate person.
