We have the Olive Lynn Trice Jackson book. There have been mentions of books by a Phil Trice and another by Timmothy Trice.

Does any one have info on how to order either or both of these books?

Hello Nancy, Been a long time since I last communicated with you. However, I have not stopped my research on the "TRICE SURNAME". I have gone back to the 1880 Census to try and learn more about my last name. I know my realtives came from Baker Co., Newton, GA. According to the census there in 1880, my grand mother was 9 years old. I am still searching though.

Oh, I really do appreciate all the help you and your e-mail sight have given me. I may not be directly related to a lot of the Trices' listed on this net. You see, I am from the African American side. In one of your previous mailings, you spoke of two brothers having a slave women given to them by their fathers. I guess that is where my ancestors began. At any rate, I have found out that there are hundreds of "Trices'" in the Thomaston, GA, Upson County area. I have even been able to obtain an obiturary from some of them. So, again, thanks. I will definitely continue the search. If you have anyone out there that had slave women given to the, please let me know. I still have not been able to trace the existance from the beginning. Again, thanks. Helen Trice-Williams

BROADDUS, BRUCE, HOWERTON, PENNY posted by Peggy Price on 11/19/97
Am seeking information of my Trices who I believe started out in Middlesex County, Va, moved on possibly to Louisa Co. and then on to Caroline Co., VA. My grandparents were George Washington Trice III (1889- 1965) and Bertha Frances Bruce(1896-1988) and they resided in Caroline County. My grandfather's parents were George Washington Trice II (1856-1906) of Caroline County and Alice Victoria Broaddus (1858-1930) They also resided in Caroline County. I know my GGGrandparents were George Washington Trice I (1806-1868) and Jane Howerton. (1828-1909). This last George Washington Trice was a Baptist preacher of renown at the Liberty Baptist Church. I believe he had at least one wife before Jane and her surname might have been Penny. This is where it all stops for me. I have been unable to find the parents of Preacher Trice. If anyone is working on this line, I'd love to swap information with you. I'm happy to share what I have found so far. Thanks!

DANIEL, GRAVES, JONES posted by Arlina C Moss on 12/08/97
I am interested in finding descendants of Frances Graves, daughter of John Williams Graves of Hanover Co., VA. He went to Caswell Co., NC, but his will is of Granville Co., NC. His will was 1786/7 and his last wife Mary was said to be a Jones. She married a first cousin of her husband, John Williams Daniel of Warren and Granville Counties, NC and he was guardian to Johnathan and Frances Graves WHO MARRIED A TRICE. Trice isn't a Warren or Granville County name. I am hoping her descendants will know more about her mother who as a Daniel is one of my third gr-grandparents.Thanks!

BRONAUGH, SANDIDGE posted by Machelle (Unknown) on 12/08/97
This is what I have copied from the Bronaugh Family book, page 6

153-G William Bronaugh, son of David Bronaugh (153) and Anna Sandidge, was born June 15, 1800 and died October5, 1871. He married Harriet Trice on July 29, 1830 and settled in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Anyone you know? I am curious! Machelle

Just checked my db and I don't have them entered, but I'm sure there is a connection. I'll add this to the Trice page and forward it to some Sandidge researchers.
Keep in touch, nt
