Why does my phone line not qualify for DSL?

In order to qualify for DSL service your phone line must meet the following requirements.

Use Bellsouth local telephone service. If you use Cinergy, West Kentucky Rural, AllTel, Ballard Rural or a third party like Dialog or Big River Telephone you cannot get DSL with VCI.
Be within 3 miles of a central office equipped for DSL or a remote DSL unit. Generally, if your phone line is longer than 3 miles long it cannot support DSL service.
